Carlos Manrique De Lara, MD, FACS, has nine years of advanced post-graduate training. After obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree, he completed his medical internships at Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Manrique De Lara then studied neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and neuro-ophthalmology at Michigan State University. He is a recognized educator in the field of refractive surgery and has served as an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University and the Scott & White Clinic. Dr. Manrique De Lara is affiliated with the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
